It is composed primarily of the sugar fucose sulphate, a high molecular polysaccharide. The highest fucoidan content is said to be found in Okinawa mozuku.

A7Fucoidan is found naturally in a high molecular state with many bound sugars. When made into a low molecular state, the properties of fucoidan change. In order for fucoidan to exert its innate abilities, it is important that it have high molecular weight. The quality standards for fucoidan foods established by the Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association require that fucoidan have high molecular weight. UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan uses only high molecular weight fucoidan that promises to deliver the original capabilities of fucoidan.
A8Fucoidan is a naturally-derived food product made from seaweeds such as mozuku and mekabu, and is devised to be taken easily every day. As it is a food product, there is no concern over side effects.
A9It is possible to ingest fucoidan by eating seaweeds, but extracting high-grade fucoidan is an extremely difficult task. It is a rare ingredient with a yield of less than 1% even when extracted from fucoidan-rich mozuku.
A10Iodine is a nutrient contained in large amounts in seaweeds. UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan contains trace amounts of iodine. The amount presents no health concerns at all. For the Capsule Type, 300 or more capsules per day would have to be ingested to exceed tolerance limits. The Drink Type contains almost no iodine and can be used without concern.

A3UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan is a health food developed from the ingredient fucoidan contained in seaweeds such as mozuku and mekabu, and from the fungus called agaricus. It does not differ from eating mozuku as a food. Unless advised by your primary physician to avoid the intake of seaweeds and fungus there is no need for concern. If you do have concerns, please use UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan in consultation with your primary physician.
A4While the time differs by individual, about three months are required to notice effects. What is most important is continuing regular use, rather than taking large amounts at once.
A5Due to the nature of the ingredients, please avoid mixing the product with hot liquids or liquids with a high sugar content.
A6As the primary ingredient fucoidan in UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan is a nutritional food created from ingredients in natural mozuku and mekabu, there is in principle no problem with use by children. Please adjust the amount of intake according to age and physical size. If you have concerns, please use UMI NO SHIZUKU Fucoidan in consultation with the child’s primary physician.
